Patricia Truitt
Patricia Truitt brings energy and color to her paintings with the same eclectic dramatic zeal she dances with. Her work focuses on energy and movement by taking patterns and designs from nature to begin the process of intuitive design, composition and theme. Her favorite topics include landscapes, florals, yoga, healing subjects, and abstract improvisation. The making of a totally original work of art requires ongoing practice and is a complex process of blending line, shape, form, color, contrast, perspective, emotion with innovative materials and colors. Some abstract collage or large-scale landscapes take months depending on the technique and scale of subject of the work. Her work has been displayed at RAL, MFA, and Bromo Seltzer Tower, Baltimore. She is currently a member and docent at the RAL and is an E-RY T-500. She's studied at Toronto School of Art, Toronto, Canada, Chelsea Collage of Art and Design, London, England, Docent and graduate at Corcoran College of Art + Design, AFA, Washington, D.C., Stevenson University, Maryland, and is currently pursuing her master's degree. Her goal is to uplift, educate and inspire her community through a lifelong appreciation of the humanities and sacred reverence for our planet.
