The Artpothecary is your creative hub for experiences that support local artists and elevate the creative community.

Host a private holiday gathering inside DAC’s newly transformed Artpothecary — where cocktails, creativity, and community impact come together. The Holiday Speakeasy turns the space into a festive, art-filled lounge featuring a private Emerge Artist Winter Exhibition, a full signature holiday bar, and a hands-on ornament-painting station for your group.

Every Speakeasy booking directly supports DAC’s artist workforce development programs, meaning your celebration truly gives back. This year, our goal is to raise $25,000 through Holiday Speakeasy investments our creative workforce devepment programs.

Holiday Speakeasy FAQ

  • DAC’s Holiday Donor Speakeasy is offered as a private Holiday Celebration for a $1200 fee.

    Includes a 3-hour private rental for up to 30 guests

    • Private Emerge Artist Winter Exhibition (not open to the public)

    • Festive seasonal décor and Christmas tree photo hub

    • Create & Take Decoupage Wooden ornament station.

    • Full open bar: holiday cocktails, mocktails, wine, beer, hot cider, tea & coffee

    • Access to heated outdoor tent lounge extension

  • The Speakeasy comfortably accommodates up to 30 guests. We allow larger groups of up to 50 for an additional fee. Please reach out to discuss your party needs!

  • We offer:

    • Choice of (5) Signature holiday cocktails

    • Classic mixer cocktails (ex vodka soda)

    • Non-alcoholic mocktail options

    • Wine, beer, canned cocktails.

    • Coffee, hot tea, and spiced hot cider

    Our bar is staffed and included in the event fee.

  • Yes. Optional enhancements include:

    • Live music by a DAC musician for $350

    • Premium charcuterie board $300

    • Chef or tasting experiences through DAC’s culinary partners, like a custom charcuterie spread, sushi bar, oyster tasting, or a chef demo!

    Your coordinator will walk you through add-on options.

  • Yes! You can bring your own food for the event but we have all of the drinks covered- including water!

What The Artpothecary Offers

Pop-Up Art Shows

  • Local Artists take over the Artpothecary to showcase their unique creative concepts & engage with the community. We have something fresh for you to discover. Shows include traditional exhibitions, experimental installations, immersive experiences & so much more! Shows run Memorial Day through Labor Day and are open to the public on Fridays & Mondays.

  • We invite both DAC and non-member artists as well as community members to host their own events in this innovative space. The rental fee is based on the intention of the show. Reach out to us for more info!

Artist-Led Workshops

  • We offer DAC Artist-Led Workshops for groups of 8- 25 people. After you choose your party, you pay a $250 deposit to lock in your date. The balance is paid by the day of your workshop.

Private Event Rentals

  • Not available during Holiday Speakeasy Season

    Our private parties are booked in 3-hour time slots, but can be adjusted to meet your needs. We have tables, chairs, and decor items to create the event of your dreams. Your event does not require an art activity.

  • There is a space rental fee of $600 for 3 hours. This includes full use of the space, event planning support, full use of our furniture, and plenty of add-ons from there.

    You can add a open bar package, have food delivered, hire live music, and more! We require a $250 deposit to reserve the space.

  • We do not have regular open hours due to staffing limitations. We have public events that are posted on our calendar, mostly in the summer months.

  • Please fill out our private party form at the bottom of this page with as much information as possible. One of our staff members will be in touch shortly to discuss details and booking.

    We require a $250 deposit for all events that will be due upon booking to save your date. This Is fully refundable up until 14 day from the event. At that time, the full amount will be due.

  • Let us know what you want to do and we can reach out to Artists in our network to find what you’re looking for.

  • We’re a small but mighty nonprofit team, and this fee allows us to run private events sustainably while continuing to invest in the programs that serve our artists and community. The Artpothecary isn’t just an event space—it’s the heart of DAC programming. Every rental directly supports our mission to empower and uplift local artists.

    Your $600 fee includes:

    • Full use of the Artpothecary for 3 hours

    • Beautiful décor, furniture, and special touches to make your event unique

    • Free parking for your guests

    • Dedicated DAC staff to plan and run your event.

    By renting this space, you’re not only creating a memorable experience—you’re investing in local creativity and ensuring DAC can continue to provide opportunities for artists and the community.

  • Yes, you can, but there will be an additional charge to ensure we meet sustainable pricing minimums for our Artists and our non-profit. Please reach out to us to discuss pricing for groups of less than 8.

  • Landscape or Oyster Painting with Maggie

    Maggie is a local landscape artist who will guide you step by step in learning the art of acrylic painting while creating beautiful landscape scenes.

    Pricing Per Person: 8-12 People = $110 Per Person • 13-19 People = $90 Per Person • 20+ People = $80 Per Person

    Pricing Includes: Instruction, Use of Space, (1) Complimentary Alcoholic/ Non-Alcoholic Drink per Person

  • Resin Pour with George

    George Todd is the resin wave master and all around best guy! He offers several variations of his resin wave workshop including charcuterie boards, side tables, and coastal themed shapes.

    Pricing Per Person: 8-12 People = $135 Per Person • 13-19 People = $115 Per Person • 20+ People = $105 Per Person

    Pricing Includes: Instruction, Use of Space, (1) Complimentary Alcoholic/ Non-Alcoholic Drink per Person

  • Sea Shell Art with Kim

    Kim specializes in using materials inspired by our costal surroundings to create unique art projects like sailor valentines, decoupage shells, and sea glass trees.

    Pricing Per Person: 8-12 People = $125 Per Person • 13-19 People = $105 Per Person • 20+ People = $95 Per Person
