Katherine Bampfield

$25.00

Katherine Bampfield is a bit of sugarcane meets street, soft when needed, bold when it matters. Growing up in a military family and moving across the U.S. shaped her sense of adaptability and sharpened her creative instincts. Her art reflects that, favoring strong lines, vibrant colors, and real-life moments that leave a mark. Influenced by Van Gogh, Matisse, and Seurat, Katherine paints what she feels more than what she sees. Her creativity has taken many forms over the years: teaching art in her children’s school, exploring music and writing, and now working full-time from her studio near the Delaware coast. Whether she’s using oil, pen and ink, or alcohol inks, her work is rooted in connection; turning everyday experiences into lasting, expressive pieces that speak without needing to explain.

I take on a limited number of commissions each year, abstract paintings created with your colors, your mood, and your story in mind. These aren’t replicas or exact scenes, but more like emotional landscapes. The kind you feel before you even name. It’s a gentle process, we’ll talk a bit about what inspires you, what colors or feelings you’re drawn to, and from there, I begin the work. I paint in oil, often using a palette knife or brush, letting each piece unfold intuitively. The result is something uniquely yours but still grounded in the way I interpret the world around me. Below is a general guide for pricing, based on size. Each piece is painted in oil on wood cradle or canvas: Base Pricing 8x8" $250 10x10" $375 12x12" $450 16x20" $875 18x24" $1250 24x30" $1575 What’s included: A conversation to get a sense of what moves you A loose color sketch or palette idea Final varnished piece, ready to hang My signature and a note about the work’s inspiration Optional Add-Ons: Framing (can be quoted separately based on style preferences) A signed Certificate of Authenticity Rush timeline (if available and needed) Payment & Timeline: A 50% nonrefundable deposit holds your place and helps cover materials. The final balance is due once the painting is finished and approved before it ships. I’ll give you an estimated timeline before we begin.
