The title, "It was Never Your Fault" (Nunca Fue Tu Culpa) is a testament to memory, resilience, and the wounds carried across generations. Rooted in my Indigenous Identity, this series navigates the intersections of trauma, healing and reclamation.

About the Artist

Itzel Aguilar is a visual Artist based part time in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and Delaware. She attended the Delaware College of Art and Design in 2009 and was self-taught from thereafter. Aguilar expresses her Mexican and indigenous identity, mental health and healing journey through various mixed media techniques.
