Fresh Art Pop-Ups is a free weekly summer series at the Artpothecary in historic West Rehoboth Beach, featuring rotating experimental art shows and experiences, artist meet-and-greets, music, and cocktails alongside the West Side Creative Market. No tickets are required. Just stop by Friday through Monday all summer long, with featured artists on site Fridays and Mondays.

Fantastic Voyages brings together two distinct artistic worlds in a vibrant cosmic collision: the abstract, conceptual explorations of Daniel Dohring alongside the whimsical, space-inspired visions of Jeff Strong. Bursting with color, movement, and imagination, the exhibition invites viewers to step beyond the ordinary and into a universe charged with curiosity, humor, and wonder. Creatures, dreamlike landscapes, playful musings, and even intergalactic kitty-cats drift together like stardust throughout this dynamic collaboration. Bold, energetic, and delightfully unexpected, Fantastic Voyages offers an immersive artistic escape that celebrates creativity at its most adventurous.

Daniel William Dohring invites viewers into imaginative worlds where abstraction, storytelling, fantasy, and science fiction converge. His distinctive visual style blends dreamlike imagery with elements that are playful, mysterious, and occasionally unsettling, creating works that feel both cinematic and deeply personal. Many of his paintings are accompanied by original micro-fiction, encouraging viewers to engage more fully with the narratives hidden within the imagery.
Raised in a family that valued art, music, literature, and film, Dohring found early inspiration in the illustrated covers of fantasy and science fiction novels, the visual storytelling of cinema, and foundational principles of art and design. His artistic path began in adolescence, when his talent for drawing and sketching earned recognition, including an award-winning pen-and-ink work during high school.
In 1987, Dohring became the owner of Dohring Galleries in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, where he represented notable wildlife, nature, and fantasy artists of the time. His years immersed in the gallery world continue to inform his artistic perspective and creative practice today.
Since relocating to southern Delaware in 2001 to reconnect with his family roots, Dohring has remained devoted to painting and creative exploration in his studio. His work is featured in regional exhibitions and special shows, where audiences are invited to join him on his ongoing Fantastic Voyages.

Jeff Strong, known artistically as Strongify, is a self-taught spray paint and stencil artist whose work channels the raw energy of street art through a playful and distinctly personal lens. After more than 22 years as a Creative Director for the Discovery Channel, Jeff had the rare opportunity to travel extensively, drawing inspiration from the street art cultures, textures, and visual voices of cities around the world. The honesty and unpolished authenticity of urban art became a lasting creative influence.
Describing his work as “the alchemy of street art and unyielding immaturity,” Jeff creates bold, vibrant pieces that blend spray paint, acrylics, and mixed media with a strong pop-art sensibility. Every work is original, beginning with hand-cut, multi-layered stencils that he designs and sprays in his studio. His art appears on an eclectic range of surfaces including canvas, wood, metal, vinyl albums, skateboards, snowboard decks, and subway tiles.
Driven by experimentation and a love of process, Jeff continues to evolve his craft, exploring new materials, techniques, and visual ideas while embracing the spontaneity and humor that define his work.
