Celebrate Freedom and Community at the West Rehoboth Juneteenth Celebration!
Join us for a powerful day of reflection, joy, and unity in the heart of historic West Rehoboth as we commemorate Juneteenth—the pivotal moment in U.S. history when the last enslaved people were freed. This inaugural event honors the Black heritage of Rehoboth Beach and celebrates the vibrant culture and rich history of our community.
Event Highlights:
West Side Creative Market
Experience a marketplace like no other, featuring 21 local Black, Brown, and African American-owned businesses. Support artisans, makers, and entrepreneurs while enjoying music curated by DJ Blackout. From 5:30 to 7:00 pm, immerse yourself in dynamic entertainment, inspiring speakers, historical presentations, and so much more. Indulge in delicious bites from J&B Grilling food truck, serving up local favorites throughout the event.
West Rehoboth Legacy Mural
Just a short walk from the market, the West Rehoboth Legacy Mural serves as a living tribute to the rich cultural tapestry of our community. Located at the corner of Malloy and Center St., this mural tells the powerful stories of those who shaped this space. Don’t miss the community Fish Fry by Poochy Fish Fry, where you can mingle with neighbors and enjoy tasty bites. DJ Blackout, a talented local artist, will keep the atmosphere lively with her soulful tunes.
