Ready for some opportunity?
Your Artist Opportunity Connection
Plan smarter. Apply with confidence. Build momentum.
This curated Opportunity Library was created to help artists stop endlessly searching and start making intentional, aligned moves forward. Inside, you’ll find in-person opportunities across Delaware and the surrounding region, gathered in one place and designed to support artists at different stages of their careers.
This is a living, artist-centered database of real opportunities. Every listing has been researched and organized to help you understand not just what the opportunity is, but whether it’s a good fit for you right now.
This library includes:
Vendor Markets & Festivals
Gallery Exhibitions & Juried Shows
Grants & Funding Opportunities
Professional Development & Training
DAC Programs & Opportunities
Discovery Tools to find additional calls
Each opportunity includes a clear context and a DAC Tip to help you approach it with intention, not pressure. The best part is, when you open up the listing, we will give you information about if it's for emerging or professional artists, fees, location, time of year offered, anactual link to apply/learn more, and some custom info.
How Does This Opportunity Library Work?
-
How to get the most out of the Opportunity Library
Use search and filters to explore by category, timing, or opportunity type
Save opportunities early and track deadlines
Read the DAC Tip on each listing for guidance on fit and approach
Apply even when you’re unsure—experience is built through reps
This library is updated as opportunities evolve, and new listings are added based on artist feedback and regional availability.
-
This library is designed for emerging, community-based, and early professional artists working in handmade goods, fine art, craft, and creative small businesses. Some opportunities are intentionally more competitive to support growth and long-term career development. This is meant for Delaware artists and includes PA, NJ, DC, and MD opportunities.
Why does DAC include both emerging and professional opportunities?
Because artists grow by seeing what’s possible. Even if you’re not ready to apply today, understanding higher-level opportunities helps you plan, prepare, and build toward them over time.
-
No. Inclusion in this library does not guarantee acceptance. Opportunities are juried, curated, or competitive by nature. DAC provides this resource to support informed decision-making—not outcomes.
-
Not every opportunity is meant for every artist, or every season. Use the details in each listing to ask yourself:
Does this align with where I am right now?
Does my ideal customer attend events like this?
Do I have the work, time, and energy to apply well?
Will this opportunity support my goals, not drain them?
A “no” right now doesn’t mean “never.”
-
No. This library isn’t about doing more—it’s about doing what’s aligned. Choose opportunities that support your creative, financial, and personal goals for the season you’re in.
If something feels like a stretch, that’s often a good sign. Stretch opportunities help you grow, but only when you approach them intentionally. Read the DAC Tip and consider applying if you can submit your strongest, most cohesive work. Growth happens through practice, not perfection.
-
Some opportunities run annually but may not yet have released official 2026 details. These listings are included so you can plan ahead and monitor updates directly with the host organization.
Growth often happens when you apply slightly outside your comfort zone. DAC Tips are designed to help you recognize when an opportunity might feel challenging—and encourage you to approach it thoughtfully, not fearfully.
-
Yes. This Opportunity Library is a member-only resource, created as part of DAC’s commitment to supporting artists with tools that save time, reduce overwhelm, and increase access to opportunity. This is a perk of your paid membership. Please do not share it with artists outside of DAC.
-
This library is reviewed and updated throughout the year. New opportunities are added, outdated listings are revised, and feedback from artists helps guide future additions.
If you find a mistake, please let us know! We researched this heavily and information with events tend to change. Email hello@developingarts.org to let us know.
